  • Physical Therapy is a skilled health care service performed by trained, licensed physical therapists. The goal of physical therapy is to reduce pain, improve movement and function, to ultimately improve overall quality of life.

Physical Therapists utilize various techniques to improve joint mobility, muscle function, strength, balance. Techniques include modalities, manual therapy, individualized exercise and stretching, and other tools to help achieve improvements on impairments and limitations.

When you see a physical therapist, they will perform a comprehensive evaluation to get to the root cause of your problem. Follow-up appointments will be scheduled to work on the problem to achieve goals set by the PT and yourself. It is good to wear loose clothing, like gym wear, because the PT will have you move. Expect to work and put in time for your healing journey.
